Potential undergraduate students should carefully review the steps for admission to AITU before beginning the application process. These steps are designed to help students apply, complete registration, take required assessments, and begin the correct academic pathway.

Undergraduate Admissions Requirements

Before applying, undergraduate applicants should review the following requirements.

  • Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Applicants must have earned a high school diploma or recognized equivalent.
    • If you have neither, speak with an advisor about AITU’s diploma/GED assistance program.
  • Select which school within AITU you will be studying:
    • School of Technology
    • School of Nursing
    • School of Technology
  • Applicants must choose an undergraduate degree level:
    • Associate degree
    • Bachelor’s degree
  • Applicants must complete the Apply Online form and provide the requested personal, academic, and program information.

Need Help Meeting the Education Requirement?

Applicants who do not currently have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent may still begin the admissions process. AITU can connect applicants with an advisor to discuss diploma/GED assistance options and possible next steps.

Next Steps for New Students

Once accepted to AITU, undergraduate students will complete several steps to prepare for enrollment and begin their academic pathway.

Complete Registration and Career Assessment

After acceptance, students will complete the registration process and the required career assessment instrument, VA Wizard. This helps students better understand their interests and connect their goals to the right academic pathway.

Take the Placement Test

Students will take the required placement test after acceptance. The placement test helps determine whether students may be able to skip certain courses in their degree program.

Ask About Credit for Prior Experience

Students with previous work, training, military, or professional experience may ask an advisor about AITU’s credit for prior experience program.

Complete the Required Introductory Courses

Students will enroll in and complete the introductory classes for their selected school. These classes serve as an orientation to the student’s new academic environment.

Establish Your Academic Pathway

Undergraduate students will register for courses in their academic pathway based on their selected degree level.
