
Accreditation
The American International Technical University is an emerging non-profit 501 (c)(3) on-line university that will provide adults in the U.S. and internationally with greater access to affordable and quality higher education
Institutional Accreditation
AITU will pursue institutional accreditation from one or more of the national accrediting agencies to establish confidence among prospective students that we are committed to maintaining standards of quality for education provided at the university level, supporting students through their academic program, and promoting overall institutional effectiveness.
Possible institutional accrediting organizations may include:
- Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC)
- Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC)
- Other U.S. Department of Education or CHEA-recognized institutional accrediting agencies
Program Accreditation
Where applicable, AITU will seek specialized accreditation for certain programs.

Possible program accrediting organizations may include:
- Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
- Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology(ABET)
- Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM)
- Council for Standards in Human Service Education (CSHSE)
